On a trip to Spain and Morocco in 2016, Mr. Kent thought that it would entertain his students if he took selfies at places they learn about in class. Why stop at selfies, though? So he started making short videos about the people, places and ideas he encountered on his trip, and Get Lost, Mr. Kent was born.
Mr. Kent hopes that this blog will help students to connect with Social Studies and education in general, and, above all, that it will inspire them to do traveling of their own some day.
Mr. Kent has taught in the South Bronx, Harlem and other neighborhoods in NYC and the surrounding area. He graduated cum laude from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts with a B.A. in Geography, holds an MPA from New York University and an M.Ed from St. John’s University in Queens, NY.
He’d love to hear your feedback via the contact button or on the posts themselves. Corrections, criticism, compliments and suggestions are always welcome.
