Before a long day of exploring Cusco, I stumbled upon Cicciolina, which is on the second floor of an old colonial house in the San Blas neighborhood of town.
I guess most people go there for a glass of wine after their day of sight-seeing, but I stopped by to fuel up, and if you’re in Cusco, you should get breakfast here, too. It was also the best coffee that I had in Cusco, and perhaps my entire trip in Peru. Cicciolina was also mentioned in the New York Times in a feature on Cusco in May of this year.
There’s that shade of blue again that is all over Cusco. Sunny-side up egg over white beans with potato croquettes. It was the bomb.
I had a great view of calle Palacio from my window-side table.
