Below are plaques marking the dates and locations of pro-democracy protests in Prague and Budapest.
A plaque I saw on my walk up to Prague Castle from Charles Bridge
A plaque and “bullet holes” commemorating the October 25, 1956 pro-democracy uprising in Budapest, Hungary
Importantly, both of these events were started by college students. What I’m trying to say is, education will set you free. Never back down, kiddos.
