Capitoline Hill and its Museums

Capitoline Hill is where it’s at in Rome. During the Roman Empire’s time of peak power and influence, Capitoline Hill was political and religious center of the empire, Michelangelo designed the piazza at its top — Piazza del Campidoglio,  and today it is where you’ll find the wonderful Capitoline Museums, perhaps the oldest museums in the world.
